OFFwind Presents Concrete Sustainability Work at NCR 2025

Offwind researcher Magdalena Rajczakowska from LTU presented the talk “Multi-Criteria Sustainability Assessment for Concrete in Nordic Offshore Wind Applications” at the XXV Nordic Concrete Federation Symposium at Scandic Park Sandefjord taking place 19–22 August 2025 in Norway. The symposium gathered over 130 participants and around 90 presentations on concrete materials, design, and sustainability in Nordic conditions.
The presentation focused on integrating environmental calculations with durability performance to compare different concrete mixes, including hybrid UHPC on low-carbon concrete. The approach supports more sustainable and robust foundation solutions for offshore wind in harsh Nordic conditions.
The work is part of the Offwind project’s mission to advance greener, long-lasting infrastructure for offshore wind energy.
