ITSC 2025, Vancouver, Canada

Betül Aktas, a doctoral researcher from Tampere University, recently attended the International Thermal Spray Conference and Exposition (ITSC 2025), held in Vancouver, Canada from 5–8 May. The event offered a valuable platform to present and discuss the latest developments within the OFFwind project, focusing on the production and testing of thermally sprayed coatings on concrete.
The presentation, titled “Thermally Sprayed Coatings on Concrete for Icephobic Protection in Cold Marine Environments,” showcased collaborative research between two OFFwind project partners—Tampere University and Luleå University of Technology. Participating in ITSC 2025 supported the dissemination of project outcomes and helped establish new connections with experts in the thermal spray and offshore engineering communities.
